In Arts at the Edge we look at the work of those whose talent appears in graffiti, tattooing and some other art forms that some would say are not mainstream art. We say "art is art".

Skateboarding

Skating is part of the culture of rock and youth. Skates are often painting with lively designs. We found some good photos on Facebook, so thanks to Ben Winston for allowing us to use some of them.

Skateboarding requires considerable skill and athletic agililty.

Skating has a number of established moves, each one of which has a name.

Skateboarders spend a lot of thier time in the air.

Leicester has several skateboarding parks, such as the one on Victoria Park and one even has its own web site - The BoardRoom SkatePark.
