6th - OBS Unplugged is underway and tonight the stage is taken by Thomas Sheppard, Adam Dunmore, Ferris, Joel Owen, Naseby Crossing and others.
8th - Some May Run, Through These Eyes and Vita Mors appear at lock42 for a night of high octane hardcore. 14 - Charlie & the Martyrs at the Musician with The Kinells and an acoustic set from Us Wolves. 15 - Young Bands gather for WOO at the Shed with Limelight, Generation Lost, Fixed Effects and Year Zero. In the evening Skam play at the SoundHouse with The Lucky 27s and The Black Fingers 16 - Go Primitive, Re:session and Resin at the Shed 27 - Finale night of OBS Unplugged with 10 acts on stage at the Musician, including Kieran Hebden, Elizabeth Cornish, Martin Brown, The DayDream Club, Davenport Folk, Humble He and Calder McLaughlin, rounded off with the Joel Owen Band.
29 - ICTUS play their last ever show at the Musician. The end of a long run for this iconic pop punk band. |

11 - I Am In Love launch at the Firebug with Dark Dark Horse 12 - Young bands at the Shed for WOO with Kieran Hebden, an early solo appearance of Jack Kenworthy, Izzy Marie Hill and others and in the evening The Stiggz and Holy Coves play at The Musician. 20 - Weekend Schemers audition for Glastonbudget at the Shed with Glassfoot 28 - Laid Bear Acoustic Competition Part 1 at the Polar Bear including 88 Miles Per Hour, Paula Driver, Rosie Doyle and Nancy Dawkins. |

2 - 12 Dirty Bullets, The Boobytraps and the Detriot Social Club play at the Soundhouse
7 - Laid Bear Acoustics competition Part 2 at The Polar Bear including Marcus Reeves, Dan White, Morton Piercewright, Joe Lofthouse and others, won by One Suspicious Monkey. 17 - A Battle of the Bands at The Firebug won by Hybrid Trend, with Silent Signals and Polaris. A memorable night of music. 18 - SuperEvolver's Come Back gig, Ashdowne and Plastic Millionaires at the SoundHouse
20 - Silent Resistance album launch with Polaris, Edict of Bedlam and touring band Depth play at the Soundhouse 26 - During the day and evening The International Tattoo Convention at the Auditorium and OBS night at the Shed with the Weekend Schemers, Russian Roulette, Panda Youth and White Ashes. |
| April | 2 - Silent Resistence play at OBS at The Shed with Edict of Bedlam, Punching Robots and Spirytus.
5 - Formal Warning on stage at the O2 Academy supporting Scouting for Girls, they played to a capacity audience. 9 - OBS heat 7 at the Musician with New Town Image, Hybrid Trend, The Hordes and Jack Kenworthy. 10 - Shellys Soljaz and Funkhouse play at the Shed, two bands that we saw a few times this year. 15 - Tribal Riot and SuperEvolver at the SoundHouse performing at another memorable show.
16 - The Firebug plays host to Daylight Frequencies, Buster Shuffle and The Lysergic Suite 24 - The Stiggz audition for Glastonbudget at The Shed, The Danglers also on the bill. 29 - SuperEvolver and Glassfoot play at the Shed 30 - At the OBS at the Musician Formal

7 - Us Wolves take a coach load of fans to London to play at the Monto Water Rats. 8 - Milton Keynes band Primal Device play at The Shed; they featured in our reviews and at least one of our showcase events. 12 - Band And GIg Society's Battle of the Bands at Sub 91 with Resin, Hybrid Trend and Dammit Fletcher.
13 - Legendary old timers Diesel Park West play at the Musician. 18 - Florida band Mayday Parade at Sub 91.
21 - The OBS grand final is held at The Shed, Silent Restistance, Formal Warning, Limelight, Rassoodocks and the Jack Kenworthy Trio who were the overall winners. 26 - Opening night of the Glastonbudget Festival, through to Sunday 29th |

4 - Internal Conflict play at the Firebug 10 - Opening day of Download Festival through to 12th 18 - Edition Skateboards launch at the SoundHouse
19 - Humble He and The Great Imitation play The SoundHouse. James and Ryan posed for a shot. 25 - Martyr De Mona play The SoundHouse. A great hard rock band from the Midlands, coming back to play Leicester again. 26 - 88 Miles Per Hour play at the Glastonbudget Auditions at The Shed; they performed at the Artsin Christmas show.
28 - Little Forts win Battle of the Bands at the Shed, beating The Paul Moody band, Even More Than You, The Amours, Azidify, These Roads Arn't Safe and Flip Like Wilson |

1 - Weekend Schemers hold E.P. launch at the Y, with Formal Warning and Vengeance 2 - Braunstone Carnival where bands and singers play to a crowd of over 1000 people. In the evening the Soundhouse stage sees Grace Petrie, Ashdowne, The Chairmen, Great Imitation and Tribal Riot 8 - Panda Youth play at the SoundHouse, with Cuba Cuba (from Wales) and Drawings (from Southampton), acknowledged by many as a memorable night.
9 - GlastonBlaby Festival with a linesup of bands and singers including SuperEvolver, Go Primitive, Hannah B, The Boobytraps and The Screening. In the evening SuperEvolver and Rassoodocks play with Penguins at the Firebug 15 - Loves Sinister Choir, Hells Addiction and AC/DC Tribute at the Soundhouse. 19 - Go Primitive, Cabrillo Beach and Sideline play at lock42 28 - Midnight Wire at the Shed |

4 - Artsin holds its Urban Showcase at Sub 91 5 - Ashdowne and The Furies play at The Shed 6 - The Cosby Big Love Festival and The Caribbean Carnival 9 - Outside the Shed riots in the streets, inside the Shed Flip Like Wilson are playing 11 - Fringe Thursday at several venues with bands like Little Night Terrors, Dumbfound, Jack Kenworthy, Arms of Atlas, The Screening and Codex. 12 - Summer Sundae opens and runs through to 14th
17 - Kids Can't Fly appear at the SoundHouse with Neon Sarcastic and Flip Like Wilson 26 - Opening night of the Strawberry Fields Festival through to 28th 29 - Last ever gig of the Melton band Haich, at the SoundHouse.

2 - Midnight Wire's official launch at Sub 91, with support from The Vincents and The Weekend Schemers. 3 - Rock meets acid house with Axis Mundi at the Soundhouse.
5 - Kasabian hold secret gig on Jumbo Jet 7 - The second Seahorse Festival takes place at Braunstone Gate. Kiterunners are one of the bands on the lineup. 15 - Karl Philips and the Midnight Ramblers at the SoundHouse. A great night of ska, reggae and rap.
17 - Silent Resistance at the SoundHouse with Hybrid Trend. 19 - The Black Tears and Bury The Ladybird at the SoundHouse 23 - Little Night Terrors at the SoundHouse 24 - The Chairmen at The Firebug with Steven and the Heathens |

2 - Glastonbudget auditions at The Shed with Formal Warning, Matt Humphries, Neon Sarcastic and Gemma Lakin 7 - Sub91 hosts Chris Ostler's 21st Birthday party with a lineup of bands including Dead Slow, Ferris, 88 Miles Per Hour, The Boobytrapsand his own band Sideline whilst The Fazed play at the Exchange Bar.
8 - RATM Tribute band Enraged play at the SoundHouse; arguably Leicester's finest tribute band, we saw them at the Glastonbudget main stage this year. 10 - Refuge hold their Mental Health Week charity gig at the Y
14 - Sonic Boom Six at the SoundHouse with Last Edition, and The Great Imitation. A memorable night with a capacity turn out. 16 - Love Music Hate Racism festival in the Markets Area with an eclectic lineup of local bands and artists. 21 - Tennysons launch themselves at the Abbey Pub 22 - Oxjam takes over the Cultural Quarter. Most of our local bands and singers took to the stages for this day of mega musical magnificence.

5 - The Tennysons and Kazabian Tribute Band play at the SoundHouse 6 - Jonezy on stage and later The Boobytraps at the Glastonbudget auditions 10 - Glory for a Dead Man play at the SoundHouse and Unknown Bullet 12 - Tattoo exhibition at the SoundHouse with Hells Addication on stage and another visit by Karl Philips and the Midnight Ramblers.

25 - Kenworthy launch their EP at the Exchange Bar 26 - Formal Warning's gig at Sumo; they pack the place out.

1 - Us Wolves single launch at The SoundHouse 4 - Queens Road Christmas Fair offers a wide variety of bands and artists including Rooster from Midnight Wire doing a solo set at Olives Bar.
7 - That'll be the day rock extravaganza at the De Montfort Hall pulls in a full house for a night of rock 'n roll fun. 10 - Jersey Budd, Hannah B and Midnight Wire play at the O2 Academy 15 - The Artsin Christmas Party at the Exchange Bar, headlined by new Leicester band Raptusound. 17 - The Stiggz, 88 Miles Per Hour and the Boobytraps at the Shed 18 - White Noise Christmas at the Firebug and Glamour of the Kill at The SoundHouse. 22 - A good night at the Shed with Speaking in Italics, Surrender the Coast, Casio Kid and headlined by the mighty Arms of Atlas. One of the best gigs at the Shed in the entire year. 22 - By The Rivers put on a sell out gig at Sub91 |
