Web design and hosting services
Artsin Productions provides a full web design and hosting
service. Our team of experienced web designers can make web sites for
- bands
- singers
- groups
- bars
- restaurants
- music venues
- artists
We already have a portfolio of 10 commercial web sites that
we have developed for our commercial clients.
Our web designers are not the people who have designed this
magazine. Because what you are looking at now is a magazine (and not a website)
it cannot be held up as an example of the work of our web designers. When working
on commercial projects, our web designers will use a wide range of coding and
applications and are often supported by graphics artists.
The company's web designers start with the purpose and function
of any web site and then figure out the best way to style and present it. The
publisher of Arts in Leicestershire works independently from the web design department
of Artsin Productions.

this magazine and our own company web site.

Our new company web site went live on 23rd December 2011
The social enterprise company will run this magazine, a web
design agency and will provide a range of services to the arts communities.
The Director of the new company, Trevor Locke said "This
is a major step forward. It will allow the magazine to become sustainable and
will enable the release of a range of new services to help local artists, musicians
and bands to gain access to much needed services.
"New directors are being sought to join the board and
it will now be possible to seek funding to grow and develop the services on offer."
The new company, Artsin Productions Ltd., is
a social enterprise company, which means that any profits it
makes will be ploughed back to aid the growth and development of the new enterprise.
A social enterprise does not have shareholders and
hence does not issue dividends.
The company will also take over the long-established web
design and hosting business, B2B Web Consultants. This will allow a range of
hosting and Internet services to be offered to the arts community in the local
area.
Artsin is our brand for all the things we do
Arts in Leicestershire is a highly successful
online magazine devoted to all genres of the arts and entertainment in Leicester
and Leicestershire. Since its foundation in February 2005, the magazine has grown
in content and readership, now being viewed by an average of between 16,000 and
19,000 readers a month; about 60% of these are from our local area and the rest
are from many parts of the UK.

New services
In addition to publishing the magazine, Artsin Productions
Ltd. plans to develop a range of associated services:

- Training courses for artists, musicians, promoters and others
- Digital publishing for artists
Artsin Productions Ltd. has been established as a platform for a range
of services aimed at the arts and entertainment sector.
What Artsin will do
Artsin will offer advertising and promotional services to
businesses such as restaurants, retail outlets, pubs, bars and clubs. Our
advertising page gives a full breakdown of what we can offer. Our page of Technical
data is available for those wanting to read about the nuts and bolts of our
online marketing service.
The Board of Directors will ensure that the magazine continues
to offer a high standard of news and content. Funding will be sought to grow
the magazine and provide the quality of the content.
With the establishment of the new company, directors are
being recruited from people with appropriate knowledge, expertise and experience.
A prospectus is available that explains the initial development plan for the
company and copies of this are available on request.
The long-term vision for Artsin sees a vibrant and successful
business oriented to the arts and entertainment, both in Leicester/shire and
further afield.
Our goal is to be centrally placed as an independent arts
enterprise, covering the broad range of arts, entertainment and leisure activities
in our local area. The Artsin brand stands for quality services
and rests the reputation and trust that has been built up with the local arts
community.
We are adding a range of additional services in order to
both meet existing needs of our readers and clients and to develop new areas
of skills and expertise.
In particular, we will be developing new services such as:
Press and PR for bands and artists
Having built up extensive contacts in the press and media
(both locally and UK-wide), we can offer a service that includes the writing
of press releases and their distribution, handling press and media
enquiries, implementing publicity plans and advising on public relations
issues.
These services can be offered to artists and entertainers
as well as to individuals, groups and businesses in the Arts and Leisure sectors.
Training for artists
Artsin Productions will provide a series of training workshops
for artists and musicians and their managers or agents. We will provide these
both directly and through other training suppliers to which we are affiliated.
Subjects will include marketing and selling art products, publicity and promotion,
using social media to promote your act, band management and audience development.
Our first training service to go live will be our Band
Development Workshops.
These will be offered to bands in 2012.
Show production
A service of production, publicity and marketing for shows,
gigs and live music festivals in our local area. We work with channel
partners to take responsibility for activities such as selection and auditioning
of acts, marketing and publicity, ticket selling and event management. The service
can be specified by negotiation, our involvement being drawn from a range of
skills and tool sets.
Web-based services
We will provide domain name registration, web site hosting,
advice and support for establishing social media outlets and graphical design
and programming services for online media. This is handled through our web
design arm called B2B Web.
The web design business B2B Web Consultants was established
in the year 2000 and has an existing portfolio of commercial customers. Its main
business is to provide web hosting and it runs its own commercial strength web
server, which is situated in Leicester.
Publishing
We plan to offer a specialised service of e-publishing for
works including poetry, short stories, occasional papers, non-fiction articles,
short books and other forms of creative writing for Leicester authors. This means
that there is no paper-based version but the products will be subject to copyright
and protected against piracy in the usual way. Digital products can be provided
to the public either as priced downloads or for free, according to what the author
wishes to achieve.
The e-publishing service means that the works will be desk
edited, proofed and laid out ready for publication. Content can include both
text and any type of illustration. We will handle the publicity (including press
releasing), distribution, and sales. Authors will receive a commission based
on industry standard rates.
