A SPRING SING FROM LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY CHOIR

loughborough university choir

Despite the wintry weather, Spring comes to Loughborough on Wednesday March 17th when Loughborough University Choir presents The Spring Sing Thing at the Cope Auditorium .

Their lively and highly enjoyable Spring concert will include a wide mix of genres, ranging from the popular baroque classic, Vivaldi's Gloria , to rock and pop classics by the Beatles and Queen .

Conductor for the evening will be Eleanor Graff-Baker , a frequently commissioned composer of instrumental and vocal works. She was educated at Oxford and Cambridge and is an Associate of the Royal College of Music . In addition to her many undertakings as a composer, she has worked as a performer and in musical direction. She also has experience in musical administration and in supplying music and scripts for special occasions and corporate events. Accompanying the choir will be Eleonora Babitsky .

Loughborough University Choir is open to all - staff and students - without an audition and plays a central part in the cultural life of the University.

The choir gives members an opportunity to explore a wide range of the choral repertory, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Public concerts take place in each semester, often with professional soloists .
