Pavilion Live - The Wednesday evening shows

for singers, musicians, acoustic artists and comedians

Each Wednesday the Pavilion Venue on Victoria Park, Leicester, opens its doors to a variety of singers - either solo artists, duos or small combo groups.

We also welcome comedians, rappers, musicians who play instruments only and artists with acts that will appeal to the general all-age audience that we attract.

Wednesday Live will be of particular interest to young artists who want to try out their talents in safe and appreciative environment.

So, whether you are a seasoned entertainer or a wannabe, come down on Wednesday evenings.

Shows start at 8 p.m. Entry is free to both artists and the public.

The Pavilion Venue offers

Hot meals and tasty snacks
A wide selection of non-alcholic drinks
Beers, wines and spirits

all at very reasonable prices. So if your coming straight from work, have a nice meal while you enjoy the show.

Information for artists

If you would like to perform at the Pavilion Live shows, it is best to book in advance. You can do this by email or by calling the show's booking agent Trevor Locke on 07970 680 987 - if you have special stage requirements.

If you just want to turn up with a guitar and sing, then just arrive by 7.45 p.m. - no need to book.

Artists should arrive at the venue between 7.30 p.m. 7.45 p.m. and not later than 8 p.m.

The evenings are free entry in order to attract as large an audience as possible. We therefore regret that no performance fees are offered. Participating artists will however benefit from publicity and exposure and often will have their performances photographed for free. Artists performing on an auditions basis at these shows, are eligible to be recommended for paid performances at other venues.

Feedback from the bands that played at the Pavo

I'm Chris, the Gopher who was with Project Notion at the Pavilion on Saturday evening. I must say a big thank you for the great sound that you created. The levels were top drawer.

Over the past week or so we have played The Shed, The Musician, Venture House (Melton) Hard Drive Festival and the Pavilion. None of the other venues can compete with the sound at the Pavilion on Sat night. Many of them have some very expensive kit too.
