Terms of hire for artists and performers

Where Arts in Leicestershire hires an artist or other performer to play, appear or perform at one of the shows bearing the Artsin brand, we expect to pay a fee for that service.

We do not expect any artist or performer to appear at one of our shows for free (unless it is a fund raising event for a recognised charity.)

When we book an artist or otherwise hire them to play for us, we will provide the artist with written details of the terms of hire. We will make it clear on what basis we agree to pay for their appearance or performance.

The arrangements for hire of an artist will vary from show to show. We will send them an email or other written communication setting out exactly the basis for their remuneration.

We will do this in advance of the show or event and that written communication forms part of the terms and conditions of hire agreed between the hirer and the artist.
